To address this, Trilations conducted a comprehensive 360° assessment, integrating internal perspectives from Field Medical teams and Leadership team with external insights from healthcare professionals. This was complemented by benchmarking against industry leaders, enabling a holistic and objective view of current performance, competitive positioning and impact.
Building on this foundation, a structured Field Medical Impact Framework was developed. Advanced analytics and modelling identified key capability gaps and pinpointed the areas with the highest potential to drive impact, globally as well as by country and therapy area level. The analysis revealed the need for a mindset shift from a predominantly execution-driven role towards a more strategic engagement model, with stronger prioritization, clearer objectives, and a focus on high-quality interactions.
These insights were translated into targeted, country-specific action plans, supported by a robust set of KPIs and an embedded system to track progress over time. This enabled teams to focus on the most impactful activities, while continuously objectively measuring and refining their approach. Clear opportunities were identified to close the gap with industry leaders, particularly in delivering relevant scientific knowledge and strengthening engagement behaviors.
As a result, the organization gained a clear and more consistent and actionable understanding of Field Medical value, both internally and externally. The approach strengthened cross-functional alignment, accelerated capability development, and enabled a more strategic and differentiated positioning of Field Medical across markets.
