To drive the growth of our business in the Americas, with a focus on the US, we are currently looking for an experienced Key Account Director to further expand our customer base and develop existing key accounts in the region.
About the role
You will actively identify, develop and qualify new sales opportunities, cooperate with our sales operations and expert teams to prepare sales proposals and negotiate and close deals.
You will generate significant prospecting/networking activities (events, meetings, phone calls, emails…) in the pursuit of new client acquisition and brand awareness.
You will effectively partner with the international marketing team to drive effective marketing campaigns in your area.
You will be responsible for proactively building and retaining relationships with a variety of accounts in big pharma & medtech at various levels of their business, focusing on senior management.
You will be a trusted partner for our existing contacts and collaborate with these customers to identify unmet needs, expand our service portfolio and drive growth.
You will be an essential part of our international team for business development and key account management, aligning with these team members to drive our global growth in the most optimal way.
What you’ll bring to the table
You have a master’s degree and between 5-12 years of experience in a consulting company where you preferably served pharmaceutical/medtech companies.
You have had business development/relationship management roles in an international B2B services environment.
You have a hunter mentality and have successfully started something from zero or limited base and built until viable business.
You have the capability to collaborate with C-level clients and executives and exhibit a high level of comfort in effectively communicating with them.
You are pro-active and able to work independently within an international team.
You are a team player.
A willingness and ability to travel regularly within the Americas is essential. Preferably you are based in the New York City area and are able to work from our NY office at least 2 days a week.
Fluency in English is an absolute must. All other languages are a plus.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel is a must, while otherwise familiarity with MS Office and computer literate.
